Every summer in Portland there are numerous festivals celebrating all things Portland, from street fairs, music festivals, beer and food. It can be hard to decide which events to attend since there are so many, but below we have listed all of the various festivals that can be found in the Portland area to help you decide. Some are free and many are kid-friendly, but others will cost and a few are 21 and over only (beer festivals). 2018 Festival of Flowers

Festival of Flowers has been one of Portland’s most renowned festivals in Portland’s Living Room for 30 years. Each year, the Square works with a local artist or design firm to create a masterpiece of vibrant color utilizing nearly 20,000 flowers and other plant material.

  • Kids 6 and under are always FREE thanks to Pamplin Media Group
  • FREE admission for Veterans, Reservists, and Active Military with Valid Military ID (plus one guest)

Portland is famous for the Rose Festival, which kicks off with the Starlight Parade, which is full of illuminated floats, one of its most popular events. You won’t want to miss the main event, the largest rose show in the nation, which has more than 4,000 blooms from across the Pacific Northwest.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts

The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts is the city’s signature festival event. Each year the festival focuses on a different form of art, which brings artists from all over the world to show, educate and sell their amazing works of art. On display will be over 1,000 pieces of art, ranging from local to international, all juried so only the best make it to the festival.

Portland international Beerfest is a 3-day specialty beer festival held in the Pearl District North Park Blocks. PIB showcases hard-to-find beers and ciders from all over the world. Sample everything from classic styles (pilsners, pales, etc.) to exotic new-world hybrids (barrel-aged hoppy farmhouse sours, etc.)

Arts Showcase on Alberta

Waterfront Blues Festival

The Big Float

The Big Float, is an annual Willamette River fundraising event, benefits the Human Access Project. It’s a celebration of our river – including the recreation it offers as well as the restoration it has undergone in recent years. The idea is to enjoy the river and also inspire positive aspirations for the river’s healthy development (beaches and access), protection and improvement.
Despite public perception (which we are trying to change), the Willamette River is approved for summer swimming, except in the now very rare instances when Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) conditions are present.

Mississippi Street Fair

The Mississippi Street Fair is a community event focused on local products, artists, crafts and foods. It is a celebration of the diverse neighborhoods, neighbors and businesses surrounding Mississippi Avenue. Vendors from outside the neighborhood are most welcome!

SeaDog Nights Pirate & Gypsy Carnival

Oregon Brewers Festival
